AHIMA Foundation Dissolution

The AHIMA Foundation

As you may know, based on the considerable evolution of the healthcare ecosystem since the AHIMA Foundation was first established in 1962, the AHIMA Board of Directors decided that it was in the best interest of our organization to dissolve the Foundation. This decision was not made lightly and reflects the complexities of our current environment.

With the AHIMA Board of Directors’ decision, the AHIMA Foundation will no longer be accepting donations and all programmatic work will be discontinued effective December 31, 2024. To maintain access to some of the work the Foundation accomplished, AHIMA Foundation Archive Resources have been added to AHIMA’s Body of Knowledge.
