Biography
Shirlivia Parker has over two decades of experience supporting the Mid-Revenue Cycle including but not limited to: clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI), patient financial services, coding , quality, denials management, physician education and collaboration in both inpatient and outpatient care settings at numerous hospitals across the US. Parker also works in academia as an adjunct professor in an Associate’s of Science Program at American National University. Parker is currently the President of Compliance, and Education, of the Mid-Revenue Cycle, at Medovent Solutions. Parker has been a part of the National ACDIS Leadership Council and has spoken Nationally for ACDIS, AHIMA ,ACMA and numerous component associations.

I am an experienced leader, with over 25 years of hands-on experience in health information management and Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI), I stand ready to serve you, the esteemed members of AHIMA, in collaboration with the council, if elected. Armed with a master’s in health administration, a bachelor’s in science, and esteemed certifications as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and Clinical Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP), I bring a wealth of expertise to the table, from coding, CDI, denials, physician engagement and more. My extensive record of dynamic speaking engagements reflects not only my commitment to education but also my passion for empowering future professionals. Moreover, I remain deeply engaged in academia, imparting knowledge part-time to nurture the next generation of healthcare leaders.
