Biography

Diane Premeau is a highly experienced professional with over 30+ years of service to AHIMA, CHIA and in the management and security of health information across various healthcare settings. Her expertise spans electronic health record (EHR) systems deployment, focusing on system integrity, cybersecurity mitigation, and disaster planning.

Diane is passionate about advocating for health information best practices, data integrity, disaster planning, revenue integrity, change management leadership and migration to electronic health environments. She has been an influential leader in the healthcare information sector, serving as an AHIMA Delegate and as the Past President of the California Health Information Association (CHIA). She has also received the CHIA Distinguished Member Award and the CHIA Professional Achievement Award. Throughout her career, Diane has contributed to several committees within CHIA and AHIMA, furthering her impact on the health information management field.

Diane has worked with large, multi-campus healthcare systems, behavioral health, long-term care, ambulatory services, and custody healthcare environments. Additionally, she develops educational courses to teach healthcare systems best practices.
