Position Statement Question

AHIMA’s mission is empowering people to impact health®. What distinctive expertise and experience do you have to contribute to AHIMA’s mission?

In my many years of hands on patient care, practice administration and teaching at the college level, I always kept the patient at the center of focus. Every patient needs an advocate to navigate through the healthcare system of today. I was involved in new programs and initiatives surrounding this topic. Through education, collaboration and partnerships AHIMA will continue to fulfill this mission. As a Director I will always base my decisions on keeping all of the humans we represent at the center of my focus, and through global, forward thinking strategies will continue to support and enhance the mission of AHIMA.
