Breian Meakens has consistent success in growing profitability, shaping/changing culture, and driving operational excellence.

Breian joined AHIMA in 2019 and serves as Chief Financial Officer leading finance, human resources, information technology, office administration, and certification departments. Prior to joining AHIMA, Ms. Meakens held the following positions: 

  • COO for Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care 
  • CFO for Christopher House 
  • Vice President of Finance with the American Hospital Association where she led them to winning the Malcolm L. Baldrige Award for Performance Excellence 
  • Administrator at University of Chicago Hospital

Breian holds a master’s degree in public administration from Roosevelt University and a master’s in business administration from Keller Graduate School of Management at DeVry University. She received her bachelor’s of business administration in accounting from Loyola University of Chicago.
