Marie T. Conde, MPA, RHIA, CCS, FAHIMA

Program Director and Instructor of the Health Information Technology Program, City College of San Francisco

Ms. Conde has extensive experience in HIM education in both academic and industry-based settings. She is an independent coding consultant providing coding services as well as education and training to numerous healthcare facilities. She is an AHIMA-approved trainer and faculty member.

On the national level, Ms. Conde is a recipient of AHIMA’s Triumph Award for Mentoring and achieved Fellow status with AHIMA in 2011. In 2008, she served as chair for the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM) and serves as a panel reviewer for HIM programs. She is a member of the 2013 AHIMA Convention Committee.

As a recognized HIM leader in her state association, Ms .Conde served as president, board member, and delegate for the California Health Information Association (CHIA) and received its Educator and Professional Achievement awards in 2008 and 2010. She is currently chair of the Academics Committee. Ms. Conde is an active presenter at numerous meetings and seminars on a variety of HIM topics including review sessions to prepare individuals for national certification examinations.
