Dr. Jim Sears, MD, or Dr. Jim as he is known by his youngest patients, is a board-certified Pediatrician and co-host of the Emmy Award-winning medical talk show THE DOCTORS.  He has been featured on Parenting.com’s "Ask the Experts," and has written for Parenting and BabyTalk magazine among many others. Dr. Jim is co-author of The Healthiest Kid in the Neighborhood, Father's First Steps - Twenty-Five Things Every New Father Should Know, The Premature Baby Book, The Baby Sleep Book and the best selling The Baby Book - Revised Edition. A father of two, Dr. Sears’ personal passions include endurance cycling, mountain biking, triathlons, sailboat racing, snow skiing, hiking, acting in musical theater with his daughter and trying to keep up with his Jedi Knight/bike stunt rider/Lego enthusiast son. The Doctors, entering its sixth season September 2013, won the 2010 Emmy® Award for Outstanding Talk Show/Informative and has been nominated in the category every year since its inception in 2008. In addition, Dr. Sears and his co-hosts on The Doctors received consecutive Emmy® nominations for “Outstanding Talk Show Host” in 2011 and 2012.
