Dilhari DeAlmeida, PhD, RHIA

Dilhari DeAlmeida is an Assistant Professor of Health Information Management at the University of Pittsburgh. She has a master's degree in health information systems and a doctoral degree focusing on documentation improvement in ICD-10. In addition to her volunteer services for AHIMA, she teaches and advises both undergraduate and graduate students in HIM. DeAlmeida, has published on the topic of data analytics and serves as a reviewer for Perspectives in Health Information Management. Her research interests include electronic health record research and data analytics in healthcare. She is also an AHIMA certified ICD-10-CM/PCS trainer.
