Angela Dinh Rose provides her professional expertise toward developing AHIMA products and services aimed at advancing the art and science of health information management (HIM) practices. She specifically focuses on overall privacy and security trends and practices within the industry. She is also responsible for ongoing development in the areas of general HIM operations and EHR management including selection and implementation.
Prior to joining AHIMA, Rose was employed as an HIM consultant where she traveled nationwide to assist in many HIM functions, from abstracting to electronic health record (EHR) solutions to interim management from client site to client site. This included creating and implementing policies and procedures, analyzing and improving workflow, and maintaining day-to-day operations.
She also serves as an adjunct instructor for the St. Petersburg College Health Information Technology and Health Informatics Programs in St. Petersburg, FL, and serves on its advisory board. Mrs. Rose is a member of several professional organizations including AHIMA, the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). She also serves on the HIMSS Privacy & Security Toolkit Taskforce.
Rose received her Master’s in Health Administration from the University of South Florida and her Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management from the University of Pittsburgh.
