AHIMA CONGRATULATES DR. KOLODNER ON APPOINTMENT AS INTERIM NATIONAL COORDINATOR

CHICAGO, September 21— The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) congratulates Robert Kolodner, MD, on his appointment as Interim National Coordinator for Health Information Technology.

“AHIMA and the health information management (HIM) community fully support the work of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology and applaud the appointment of Dr. Kolodner,” stated AHIMA’s CEO Linda Kloss, MA, RHIA. “Dr. Kolodner’s extensive experience in developing and deploying interconnected clinical and personal health record systems for the Veteran’s Health Administration prepares him well to lead the Office of the National Coordinator at this very important time as critical projects move forward.”
