Perspectives in Health Information Management is the scholarly, peer-reviewed research journal of the AHIMA Foundation that promotes the linkage of practice, education, and research, while providing contributions to the understanding or improvement of health information management processes and outcomes.

Since 2004, Perspectives has strived to advance health information management practice and encourage interdisciplinary collaboration between HIM professionals and others in disciplines supporting the advancement of the management of health information. Perspectives in Health Information Management is indexed in PubMed Central, MEDLINE, Google Scholar, and the Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health (CINAHL).
