AHIMA Membership Information

Here, you'll find the basic information you need to become a member of AHIMA. Remember: your dues begin and end with your anniversary date, so you enjoy a full year of membership benefits, regardless of when you join.

• Membership Dues
  • Active $155 plus the additional credential maintenance fee listed below when applicable
  • Student: $35
  • New Graduate: $100 plus credential maintenance fee if applicable
  • Senior $60
• Credential Maintenance Fees with Membership
  • $10 for CCA, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA (any combination of these credentials
    only)
  • $37.50 for CHP or CHS
  • $47.50 for CHP or CHS plus any combination of CCA, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA
  • $62.50 for CHPS
  • $72.50 for CHPS plus any combination of CCA, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA

AHIMA's three-payment plan allows Active and New Graduate member types to make three equal payments.

The three-payment plan's structure is as follows.

Payment Calculation

• The amount required per installment is obtained by adding membership dues, certification maintenance, and a FORE donation whenever applicable.
• A $6 installment billing convenience charge is added.
• This total is divided by three to obtain the amount for each of the three installments.
  

Payment Due Dates

• Payment one is due at the time of your initial application or renewal submission.
• Payments two and three will be due on the 15th of the month.
• Payment two is due approximately 60 days following payment one. Payment three is due approximately 60 days following payment two.
  

Payment Submission

• Credit card payments will be automatically charged on the designated date.
• Invoices will be sent to members that have chosen to pay by check.

Individuals residing outside the US would select Active membership.
