Organizations implementing EHR systems must understand the impact of this change in terms of the ability of the EHR to serve a variety of business and legal needs. Stakeholders must collaborate to design and implement features and functions that support the integrity of the EHR and enable it to meet these needs. This conference will address key issues in the management of electronic health records in order to support the legal and business needs of health care organizations, understand how the EHR will impact the legal process, and new emerging issues including risks and liabilities.
