AHIMA Leads the Way

After more than ten years of education, research and advocacy, AHIMA is now focused on helping the industry prepare for ICD-10-CM/PCS implementation. As the membership association representing the largest workforce impacted by the coding system change, AHIMA has identified three key goals to support the industry during the transition:

  • Lead the industry in ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS education.
  • Enable successful ICD-10-CM/PCS implementation in the US.
  • Improve the quality of healthcare data in the US.

AHIMA is dedicated to realizing these goals by providing timely, state-of-the-art ICD-10-CM/PCS educational opportunities, research, and advocacy. The current focus is on phase one impact assessment. AHIMA will continue to provide helpful and timely resources tailored for each phase of preparation and implementation.
