Hon. Ronald J. Hedges, Former US Magistrate Judge District of New Jersey

Judge Ronald J. Hedges has extensive experience in e-discovery and management of complex civil litigation matters. Appointed in 1986 (and serving until 2007) as a United States Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, Judge Hedges served as the Compliance Judge for the Court Mediation Program, a member of the Lawyers Advisory Committee, and as both a member and reporter for the Civil Justice Reform Act Advisory Committee. From 2001 to 2005, he was a member of the Advisory Group of Magistrate Judges, and an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University School of Law from 1993 to 2007 and at Georgetown University Law Center since 2006. Judge Hedges has more than 20 years as a federal judge resolving substantive and procedural disputes between parties, and trained law students, attorneys, and federal judges in dispute resolution, with a focus on mediation.
