June Bronnert, RHIA, CCS, is manager of professional practice resources at the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Bronnert provides professional expertise to develop AHIMA products and services aimed at furthering the art and science of health information management (HIM), and is responsible for content development and technical reviews of the Association’s continuing education courses.
Prior to joining AHIMA, Bronnert worked as site leader with United Audit Systems, Inc., where she oversaw the daily operations of a client site and performed quality reviews of coding and abstracting functions, and inpatient and outpatient coding accuracy audits. Before this Bronnert worked in numerous HIM roles ranging from coder and medical records manager to educator—serving as an adjunct instructor for the Cincinnati State Technical and Community College HIM program.
Actively involved with a number of professional organizations, Bronnert is currently treasurer for the Greater Cincinnati Health Information Management Association, where she previously served as president and as a member of the HIM Advisor Committee for University of Cincinnati’s HIA program.
