Diana Warner, MS, RHIA, CHPS
Diana Warner is co-chair on AHIMA’s Physician Practice Council. She is the director of Health Information Management (HIM) for the University of Minnesota Physicians. Diana has nearly 20 years experience in HIM, and her career has included a variety of healthcare settings to include acute care hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation hospitals, and psychiatric hospitals, and is currently with a physicians group of more than 750 physicians. She has been responsible for traditional HIM operations such as filing, transcription, record completion, and release of information. Currently, she is involved in HIPAA privacy and security, implementation and management of an electronic medical record, and managing the medical record in paper and multiple electronic environments.
Diana is a member of national, state and local organizations and has served in a variety of positions. She has participated in AHIMA’s EHR Council and contributed to several tool kits. She continues to be active in AHIMA.
