Participants in the institute will focus on the skills necessary to transform data into accurate and timely information. Organizations must analyze healthcare data both internally and externally as part of their everyday business operations, while data analysts are asked to provide and interpret data for day-to-day operations while balancing the overall strategic vision. Participants will interact with a supportive group of peers to complete hands-on analysis and place the learning experience into a practical framework.

- This session reviews potential internal and external data sources available for analysis. Data validation using statistical principles will be covered. Benchmarking and its importance is also discussed.

- This session will demonstrate how to obtain publicly available data from several external sources

Cancellation Policy
AHIMA reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a program due to unanticipated circumstances. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be contact and the full registration fee will be refunded. AHIMA and ATC are not responsible for any travel arrangement penalties incurred by event cancellations.
REFUND POLICY
AHIMA provides full refunds (less a $75 processing fee) for all registration cancellations made up to 15 days prior to the program date, unless otherwise specified at the program level. No refunds are provided within two weeks of the program date. All refunds are processed within 30 days of receipt.
To request a refund, submit your request in writing to Meeting Registrar (Fax 312- 233-1500). In the event of an emergency that occurs within two weeks of the program date, please contact Meeting Registrar (Fax 312- 233-1500).
SUBSTITUTION POLICY
Substitutions (that is, assigning a paid registration to another individual) are allowed up to seven days prior to the program date, unless otherwise specified at the program level. No refunds are provided within seven days of the program date. All refunds are processed within 30 days of receipt. A $75 processing fee will be invoiced at that time.
To request a refund, submit your request in writing to Meeting Registrar (Fax 312- 233-1500). Please include the name and date of the program as well as the following information for both the original registrant and the substitute registrant: name, mailing address, phone number, and email address. Notification of approval will be made within seven days of receipt of the request.
