Anita Majerowicz, MS, RHIA Director of Clinical Coding and Reimbursement AHIMA

Anita Majerowicz provides professional practice support for products and services related to coding and reimbursement, including seminars, publications, and Web-based training content development.

Majerowicz has over 25 years experience in the HIM field. Prior to joining AHIMA, she served as coding consultant for the American Medical Association, where she educated HIM professionals and physician members regarding the interpretation of AMA CPT® coding guidelines. She served as contributing staff to several AMA publications, including CPT® Assistant, Principles of CPT®, and Stedman's CPT® Dictionary. In addition, she served in various HIM roles—such as director of HIM services, consultant, and HIM adjunct faculty—and has experience in multiple healthcare settings, including physician practice, hospital outpatient care, and hospital acute care.

Majerowicz received a Master’s of Science in Health Services Administration.
