Help cultivate the HIM workforce of the future, and provide industry leaders with the best and brightest educators in HIM by attending AHIMA’s Assembly on Education Symposium/Faculty Development Institute (AOE/FDI).
Each year, more than 400 health information management (HIM) educators and leaders connect to consider academic topics that enable today's HIM students to become tomorrow's dynamic healthcare industry leaders. AOE is the premier health information education event offering key information on curricula design, accreditation, and leadership skills. Participants will explore innovation, research, and best practices that academic professionals are using to shape HIM education. With a special focus on new ideas and fresh perspectives, the symposium will help educators meet program goals in an environment that encourages lively discussions and healthy debates. The goal of the symposium is to deliver the knowledge required for faculty members to enhance the performance of the future workforce and the value of health information education. All full-time, part-time, and adjunct faculty should attend, and practitioners can benefit from this content as well.
FDI is held on July 19, prior to the AOE Symposium. This institute focuses on helping new and experienced faculty refine their classroom management and teaching technique.
