The Textbooks on Demand system makes it possible for educators to design their own workbooks or textbooks to support their course designs and to meet the unique needs of their students. Educators can choose the content for their customized texts from existing AHIMA book chapters, journal articles, practice briefs, and other association documents.
Customized textbooks can be ordered as multiple copies of loose-leaf pages punched to fit into three-ring binders, or as multiple copies of a printed and bound paperback textbook or workbook.
There is a 25-copy minimum order for custom textbooks, but the more copies you order, the lower the cost of each copy will be. Although unused print copies of customized textbooks won't be eligible for refunds or returns, customized textbooks will be only slightly more costly than regular textbooks. Therefore, students will actually save money in the long run because they will only need to buy one textbook for each course instead of several.
