PCAP approval recognizes programs that adhere to quality standards in programming, instruction and curriculum of non-degree granting academic certificate programs. PCAP approved coding programs offer a comprehensive program that meet the Coding Certificate Program Competencies and have been evaluated for compliance for faculty qualifications and program standards.

Students who complete PCAP approved programs are eligible for the CCA (Certified Coding Associate), the CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) and CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist – Physicians’ Office) examinations.
