RHIT Job Analysis

To fulfill aspects of its credentialing mission, AHIMA has contracted with Thomson Prometric to conduct a job analysis in 2005 to ensure that the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification program reflects the most important and current practices in the work performed by RHITs.

The RHIT competency statements developed as a result of the 2005 job analysis became effective on October 2, 2006.
