Charlotte McCuen, MHA, RHIA

Charlotte McCuen, MHA, RHIA, is an adjunct faculty with the University of Cincinnati accredited BS degree distance learning program where she teaches Health Information Management. Previously she was an Associate Professor at Macon State College, where she taught fourteen years for accredited AS and BS degree HIM programs. She is a graduate from the Medical College of Georgia where she received her BS degree and Mercer University where she obtained her master’s in Health Care Policy and Administration. Charlotte has worked over 30 years in the HIM field where her career has evolved in various capacities and settings. Prior to teaching she was an HIM Director in acute care at Macon Northside Hospital for fourteen years. She consulted early in her career at various facilities of long term care, renal dialysis centers and behavioral health hospitals. She is a member of the Georgia component state association. She has volunteered for her profession at the regional level, served on Georgia Health Information Management Association (GHIMA) board in various capacities and on AHIMA Program Committee. She is a GHIMA Past President and past Delegate. Charlotte has edited and co-authored publications used in HIM education.
