ICD-10
The transition to ICD-10-CM will be challenging for physician
offices. AHIMA is there to support
practices by providing tools and resources to help facilitate the changeover.
In collaboration with the AMA, AHIMA developed the Process Based Model for ICD-10 for
Physician Practices
Among its many training offerings, AHIMA also offers its Ambassadors Program which
provides experts who can help get practices up to speed quickly with ICD-10.

High quality health records
and information is the lifeblood of proposed care and reimbursement models that
are changing physician practices. Health information is critical for quality
measurement, population health and comparative effectiveness research.
