Education Communities of Practice (CoP)

Three CoP's are dedicated to the educational community:

  • The AOE CoP is open to any AHIMA member who is also a college instructor.
  • The Associate Degree Educators CoP is open exclusively to accredited HIT programs.
  • The Baccalaureate Degree Educators CoP is open exclusively to accredited HIA programs

The CoP's include: Community News and Links, the "Resources" section includes power point slides and instructor guides to complement textbooks and educational resources published by AHIMA. There is also a very lively discussion forum, where members can network with other educators about topics ranging from choice of software to teaching strategies and classroom management.
