Certification

AHIMA administers eight certification exams, including the Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), and Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT). The RHIA and RHIT credentials demonstrate a practitioner's high professional standards and leadership skills for managing HIM revenue operations, clinical coded data reported in healthcare delivery prospective payment systems (PPS), and compliance with payer reimbursement regulatory requirements.
