Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is approximately 45 miles west of the city and has convenient bus services as well as cabs. Washington Flyer buses or Super Shuttle Services from Dulles can take passengers downtown. Visiting Washington
Request a Tour
As you plan your trip, please
remember that your Member of Congress would be happy to help arrange tours of
the following Washington sites:
- United States Capitol Building
- The White House - Please be advised that tours
for the White House should be requested a couple months in advance.
- U.S. Mint / Bureau of Engraving and
Printing
Tips for Visiting Capitol Hill:
- House and Senate Galleries - When Congress is in session, visitors are allowed
to view live debate in the House and Senate Galleries from 9:00 AM -
4:30 PM from Monday through Friday. To obtain passes to the Galleries,
simply visit my Washington office located at 133 Cannon House Office
Building.
*Please note that children must be at least six years of age to be
admitted to the Senate Gallery. Children under the age of ten are
allowed into the House Gallery if accompanied by an adult.
- Meals - Cafeterias
are located throughout the Capitol complex in the Capitol Visitor
